About John

John Gwinn gained his Bachelor of Fine Arts and Master of Fine Arts from the University of Pennsylvania. He won the Thornton Oakley Award for Creative Achievement from UPenn in 1967, during his postgraduate studies. John also studied at the Chicago Art Institute, the Philadelphia College of Art, and Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Art. Some of his exhibits are listed below.

An accomplished artist and painter, John’s work has been shown in galleries around the world, including the Galerie Liliane Francois in Paris. John has also shown his work in galleries closer to his native Philadelphia, including the FAN Gallery, The Gallery 911, The 479 Gallery and The Moore Gallery, among others.

John continues his active painting career, continually working on new projects and finding new sources of inspiration to focus his creative drive.
